Smile A Day is a self-initiated photo journalistic project focused on celebrating diverse communities and spreading happiness and positivity that generated organic growth from 0 to +5000 followers on Instagram within a year.

Selena grew Smile A Day through overseeing art direction, photography, design, strategy, brand consultations, experiences and speaking engagements.

Smile A Day collaborates with top brands and start ups including—99 Designs, Toasted Life, Fast Forward, Ernst & Young, Blavity. Additionally, Smile A Day curates photographers including Ashley Osborne, Micholiana, Melanee Brown, Fela Raymond, Aundre Larrow.

Aside from being an Instagram based platform, Smile A Day also produces experiences designed to bring people together IRL with an event series called ‘Pastries & Portraits.’
